I bought these (in two colors: red and white) during a Gold Box special. For the money, you can't beat them. The bowls and cups (which are more like mugs) are large and great for soup and coffee. The plates and saucers are well made and the colors are vivid (well, I can only speak for the two colors I purchased). These are elegant every day dishes and, in two colors, really make a spectacular dining table appearance (I also bought a centerpiece with candles in red and white to seal the deal). I love these International Metro plates and would recommend them to anyone looking to change up the appearance and presentation of their meals.

I bout these because they were the "deal of the day" i also needed a new set. they're perfect! the mugs were small but doable. they are kind of heavy but when i opened it one of the plates was chipped. be careful when handling.
